Can physiotherapy help with sports injuries?

Yes, physiotherapy is highly effective for treating sports injuries. We provide specialized treatment to help athletes recover, improve performance, and prevent future injuries. Our team also offers injury prevention strategies and strength training programs.

Do I have to go to the clinic where my doctor recommended?

NO. You have the right to chose your own physiotherapy clinic. It is wise to chose a clinic close to your home or work as most physiotherapy treatment plans require multiple return visits.

How soon will I get better?

We usually expect significant improvement within the first 2 weeks of your treatment plan. There are many factors that can effect your rate of recovery. Some of those are:

  • Frequency of your visits
  • Duration of your visits
  • Adherence to your home exercise plan
  • Avoidance of injury causing activity/position
  • Duration of the condition (as a general rule, the longer you have had a certain condition the longer it can take to recover)

Will physiotherapy help my condition?

In majority of cases Physiotherapy has shown to be significantly helpful. Research consistently shows that physiotherapy helps recover from most orthopaedic conditions and furthermore helps reduces the possibility of re-injury. After the initial assessment, we will be able to determine if physiotherapy will be helpful. If our Physio treatment is not helpful we will promptly refer you for further testing.

The first visit will consist of a one on one assessment during which therapist would get a subjective history of your injury, followed by a thorough examination. This examination is essential in determining the root cause of your injury, so that we are treating the source of your pain and not just symptoms.
After discussing their findings with you, the Physiotherapist will create a personalized treatment plan specific to your injury to help you get out of pain and back to doing what you love.

The first appointment lasts approximately 1 hour and will include treatment to help start you on your road to recovery. Please arrive 15 mins prior to your scheduled appointment time, as you will be required to fill out patient intake forms, also found online.
You may want to ask your employer or insurance before the visit:
